The latest addition to the collection of food carts at the Hillsdale Food Park brings yet more diversity to the options currently on offer. Mama Noor's, in a black truck located next to Phat Cart, opened just days ago, with a menu that ranges from falafel to french fries, from schwarma to wings. Bring your appetite, and bring cash, at least until the owners are ready to accept other forms of payment.
Mama Noor's website is under construction. In the meantime, the friendly owners invite hungry neighbors to order by phone or stop by and let them know what menu items appeal. With feedback from customers, they plan to refine the menu to represent the most popular choices of their Hillsdale customers.
The owners have a second food cart, Al Ani, which has been located downtown for the past five years.
Mama Noor's middle eastern and Indian menu adds new regional flavors to the Food Park, already well represented by Japanese, Thai, Asian fusion, and Mexican carts.
Each cart at the Food Park keeps its own hours, but most are open Monday-Saturday from 11am to 7pm. The Hillsdale Food Park is on the corner of Sunset and Capitol Highway at the north entrance to Ida B. Wells High School.
