The website for Basics Market announces two new changes: Pat Kint is the new manager at the Hillsdale store, and beginning Sunday, December 6, the Hillsdale store will be open from 10am-7pm.
Kint joined Basics in early November, filling the vacancy created by the departure of former manager Lateefa Hoover, who no longer works for the company. According to a statement provided by Basics, Kint has worked in natural grocery management for over 20 years, spending most of his life in Sacramento, CA, before coming to Oregon. The statement includes this from Kint: “ My dream, for years, has been to live in Oregon, where I will undoubtedly stay for the rest of my life. Moving here with my wife and our three dogs has been the coolest, most gratifying thing I’ve ever done.”
Also new: Basics has instituted Sunday hours for all of its markets, saying “as an organization, we have listened to our customers and are excited to open our markets on Sundays. We look forward to seeing new faces, making new friends and satisfying our current shoppers that prefer to plan and do their weekly shopping on Sundays!”
